Viewington is designed to be local-first. We do not require accounts and we do not run a backend for storing your stream lists or profiles.

• Stored locally on your device: stream lists/profiles you save, UI preferences (like sidebar settings), and quality preferences. This data is stored in your browser (for example, via localStorage) and stays on your device unless you clear it.
• Not stored by us: we do not store your channel lists, watch history, or settings on our servers.
• Usage Data: We may collect information on how you access and use our services, including but not limited to device information, IP address, browser type, and usage patterns.

When collected, Usage Data may come from optional analytics, operational logs (for example from hosting providers), and standard web technologies.

2. Twitch and other third parties

Viewington embeds Twitch streams using Twitch’s official embed/player scripts. When you watch streams, Twitch may collect information directly through the embedded player (including through cookies and similar technologies) according to Twitch’s policies. We do not control Twitch’s data collection.

3. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

Depending on how Viewington is deployed, we may use analytics and monitoring tools to understand feature usage, improve performance, and maintain reliability. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies and may process Usage Data.

You can control cookies and tracking through your browser settings, and through Twitch’s own settings for Twitch content embedded in this app.

4. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information; however, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Your choices

• You can clear locally stored data by clearing site data in your browser (for example, localStorage).

6. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page.
